NZL is enjoying the arrival of new MAN units into its fleet after ordering six last year. The two most recent entries into the NZL fleet are pictured, both TGX 540S.

Fleet 3520 is branded and allocated to one of NZLs bigger customers Orora. This unit will operate in the Central North Island traveling East to West delivering packaging to the likes of Silver Fern farms. The lucky driver is Kevin Ford based in Marton.

Fleet 3521 is a NZL branded unit that has a spaced axle trailer allowing a permit weight of 59 tonne to be achieved. This unit has been earmarked for specialist Dairy Board work. NZL has more than 100 units in its fleet in total.

Meanwhile, what has nearly arrived is the completion of NZL’s purpose built new warehouse. At nearly 13,500 sq metres, the warehouse with a drive through tunnel is located in the new Tauriko industrial area outside Tauranga.

The new warehouse provides easy access to main highways with state highways 29 and 36 running through the area. It will be dedicated to NZL’s Asaleo Care client who is a leading personal care and hygiene company that manufactures, markets, distributes and sells essential everyday consumer products across the Feminine Care, Incontinence Care, Baby Care, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene product categories.

NZL is also keeping its current Jean Batten Drive warehouse giving it a total of 20,000 square metres of warehousing space for its key clients. Jean Batten will mainly be focussed on two other NZL key clients with kiwifruit packaging.
