Andy Stanley retires
Andy Stanley will be on annual leave in November, then formally retiring early April 2019, and so until that date, it makes sense for both Stephen and Andy to assume Joint DCEO roles, working together to take this exciting division forward.
Andy has been part of the TIIL group since 2005, when Hooker Brothers was purchased. Born in
Methven, in the South Island, Andy has six grown children and is also proud to have six Grandchildren.
Andy started in the transport industry after leaving school. This included a couple of years working for NZ Couriers as Branch Manager and Customer Services Training Manager. Andy also owned a Transport and Contracting Business.
Andy has been in the Transport and Distribution industry for the last 35 years - 25 of those years has been in management. Andy has been through various related transport and management courses, including a Diploma of Business Management. He also did an extensive study of Edward Deeming Philosophy of Quality Management and using statistical methods.
Andy was New Zealand Operations Manager for Child Freighters up until 1995, when Hooker Brothers purchased its assets. Andy was then made General Manager of Southern Region Hooker Pacific based in Palmerston North up until 2008, when he was appointed CEO of Hooker Pacific Fuel Haulage and relocated to New Plymouth.
TIL wishes Andy on his next journey and sincerely hope that he takes time to enjoy his many hobbies, that include walking, bike riding, watching rugby and spending time with his family and friends. Andy, you will be greatly missed as part of the team and we hope you will continue to update us on your future achievements.
